Mixed-use refurb / new build for London developer

West Barnes Lane, London, SW20

This mixed use scheme in Raynes Park, London will transform a tired parade of shops and flats. Planning consent was gained through delegated powers in 2019.

Fronting West Barnes Lane, the proposals stand to comprehensively re-model the current building including the five existing flats at first floor level which presently suffer from poor access arrangements and layouts. Adding two carefully proportioned new storeys to the building, eight new flats will be created on the site making a total of 13 flats on the site. All will meet national space standards and benefit from private amenity space.

The scheme is an excellent example of sustainable retrofit and upgrading / enhancing an existing poorly maintained typical London parade of shops with flats above.
