Exciting Mixed-use Scheme proposed for former pub in Brighton

Mohsin Cooper are pleased to announce the submission of fresh proposals for the Cuthbert pub in Freshfield Road, Brighton. Having stood derelict for several years, the proposed scheme would see community use brought back to the site with a community cafe, offices and 3no. new flats proposed.

The design seeks to preserve to original character of the original pub building, whilst making good use of the rest of the site. A sensitively designed new-build annexe to the north side of the site would provide purpose built cafe space at the heart of the scheme, with the new flats at upper levels.

Local residents were consulted as part of a detailed pre-application process with Brighton & Hove City Council Planning Department with the proposals being well received. The scheme has also received coverage on local news websites Brighton & Hove News and Brighton & Hove Independent.
