Backland Eco House Development

Springfield Road, Brighton

One of our long standing developer clients in Brighton & Hove, who owns this Brighton site had a history of failed planning applications by others.

We were engaged in 2018 to develop designs for a dwelling on part of the garden to the rear of an HMO property they own.

After a positive pre-app, we submitted plans for a single storey, two bedroom detached house and gained consent at delegated powers.

We were then engaged to develop the working drawings package, with the project being built out in 8 months.

The house comprises vertical cedar cladding and a sedum roof. It is constructed from a SIPS panel system and uses an air source heat pump, with a close to zero carbon eco rating.

We have a great track record on delivering consents on tight, backland sites in Brighton & Hove and other parts of Sussex, where others have failed - get in touch if you have a similar site and need a fresh look.
